• SENDING: Send transactional emails, notifications, welcome emails, etc. from your own domain. Supports rich HTML or plain text.

  • RECEIVING: Your app can receive and process incoming email — build support inboxes, email-to-ticket systems, auto-responders, email parsing, etc.

Includes email threading support so replies group into conversations.

How to use it: Verify your domain in the right pane Email tab, then tell Floot what email features you need. That's it!

New: Microsoft Integration — Login, Email, Calendar & Drive

• Your apps can now connect to Microsoft. Each capability works on its own — use just one, or combine them however you need.

What you can build:

• Sign in with Microsoft — let users log in with their Microsoft account, no passwords to manage.
  • Email — read, send, and organize Outlook email on the user's behalf.
  • Calendar — view, create, and delete events on the user's calendar.
  • Drive — view, upload, and delete files in the user's OneDrive.
  • AI agent — build a chatbot that performs operations across these Microsoft services on the user's behalf.

How to use it: Just tell Floot what you want (e.g. "add Microsoft login", "let users send Outlook email", "sync with their calendar") and it handles the setup.

New: Background Tasks — Your App Can Now Do Work Behind the Scenes

• Your apps can now run tasks in the background — perfect for anything that shouldn't block the user or needs to happen on its own schedule.

What you can build:

• Send emails or notifications after a user signs up — without making them wait.
  • Process uploads — resize images, parse documents, or sync data after a file is uploaded.
  • Run something later — schedule a reminder, a follow-up, or a cleanup to happen hours or days from now.
  • Repeat on a schedule — check for new data every morning, send weekly digests, or sync with an external API on a recurring basis.

Three ways to use it:

• Run now — kick off work immediately in the background (e.g. fan out a task per user).
  • Run later — schedule a one-off task up to 7 days in the future.
  • Run on repeat — set up a recurring job with a simple schedule (e.g. "every day at 9am").

For longer jobs, tasks can automatically chain themselves — so multi-step workflows like processing hundreds of records or orchestrating AI pipelines just work.

How to use it: Just describe the background work you need and Floot will set it up for you.

New: Floot Realtime — Live Updates with Zero Setup

• Your apps can now update in real time — live chat, notifications, collaborative features, presence indicators, and more — with zero setup.

What you can build:

• Live notifications — alert users the moment something happens, no page refresh needed.
  • Real-time chat — build messaging features that feel instant.
  • Who's online — show which users are currently active with built-in presence tracking.
  • Live dashboards — keep data on screen up to date as it changes.

Why not just poll? Polling hammers your backend with repeated requests — burning through credits even when nothing has changed. Floot Realtime only sends data when something actually happens, so it's dramatically cheaper and updates arrive instantly instead of on a delay.

New: Dark Mode for the Editor

Drop a zip of your project into the chat and Floot will extract it, understand the structure, and set everything up for you — pages, components, helpers, endpoints, and styles.

How it works:

1. Zip up your existing project (React, Next.js, or any web project)
2. Upload the zip file to the Floot chat
3. Floot extracts and analyzes the contents, then builds your project from it

How it works:

  • Unified Asset Hosting: Your static assets (images, fonts, etc.) are now also powered by Floot Storage, so everything is served from the same domain — no more third-party CDN URLs.

• You can now share a live preview of your in-progress project with clients, teammates, or anyone — without publishing.

How it works:

1. Open the Send Development Preview dialog from the editor toolbar
2. Enter up to 20 email addresses
3. Each recipient gets a unique, time-limited preview link (expires after 7 days)

Recipients verify their email to view the preview — so only the people you invite can see it. Great for getting feedback before you go live.

New: Floot Chrome Extension

• We've released Floot Infinity, our Chrome extension that lets Floot use your browser directly.

Browser Agent — Floot can now open websites, inspect designs, and set up integrations for you. Even notoriously painful ones like Gmail — Floot handles the Google Cloud Console so you don't have to.

Better Annotations — Screenshots are now pixel-perfect and way more reliable.

Updated: Referral Program

April 21, 2026

• We've updated the referral program to better reward you when your referrals stick around.

What's changed:

• New: Earn 2,000 credits when your referral publishes their first project (was 100 credits on sign-up)
  • Same: Earn 5,000 credits when your referral upgrades to a paid plan

The sign-up bonus has been removed in favor of a bigger reward for meaningful engagement. Quality over quantity.

New: Scheduled Jobs

• You can now run backend tasks on a schedule directly within Floot — no external services required.

Whether you need to send daily summary emails, clean up stale database records, sync with external APIs, or run periodic maintenance, scheduled jobs make it easy.

More secure than external cron services — with external tools, you have to expose your endpoint to the public internet. With Floot, your scheduled jobs run entirely within our infrastructure and can only be triggered internally. No public endpoints, no extra authentication to worry about.

How it works: Tell Floot what you want to run and how often, and it'll set it up for you.

New: Project Folders

• Your dashboard just got a lot more organized. You can now create folders to group your projects however you like.

Whether you're sorting by client, team, project type, or just keeping things tidy — folders make it easy to find what you need.

How it works:

• Create a folder from your dashboard
  • Move projects into folders via the project's ⋯ menu
  • Rename or delete folders anytime

No more scrolling through a long flat list. Put things where they belong.

Improved: Plan Mode Now Available in Chat

April 6, 2026

• Plan mode is no longer limited to just the initial project build — you can now switch to Plan mode anytime from the chat mode selector at the bottom left of the chat input.

This lets you create or refine a structured plan for any feature or change mid-project, not just at the start.

Once you're happy with the plan, hit Build Plan and Floot executes it with full context. The three modes are now Build, Plan, and Discuss.

New: Free Custom Domain for Pro Users

• All Floot Pro users now get one free custom domain — on us.

Real products deserve their own name. We've partnered with Entri to make domain connection as seamless as possible. You can even buy a new domain directly in Floot through Entri — no need to leave the editor.

How to use it: Go to your project's Publish settings, click Custom Domains, and connect or purchase your domain in a few clicks.

New: Plan Before You Build

• Floot can now plan your project before writing any code.

When you describe what you want to build, Floot will first think through the architecture, features, and technical approach, then present you with a structured plan you can review side by side with the chat.

Once you're happy with the plan, hit Start Building and Floot builds with the full context of what was agreed on. You can also refine the plan through conversation before committing.

How to use it: Click the dropdown on the Build button and choose Plan first.

New: Favorite Your Projects

• You can now favorite projects to keep your most important ones at the top of your dashboard.

Click the star icon on any project to pin it. Favorited projects always appear first, so you can jump right into what matters most.

New: Queue Up Messages While Floot Is Working

• No more waiting around. You can now type and send messages while Floot is still working on your previous request.

Your messages get queued up and Floot processes them one by one in order — so you can dump all your ideas, follow-ups, and tweaks without losing your train of thought.

It's a small change that makes the whole experience feel much more fluid. Think of something? Just say it. Floot will get to it.

• You can now point Floot to an existing project and it will learn from its patterns, components, and design choices.

How to use it: Copy and paste a project link (e.g. floot.com/project/xxx) into the chat, then tell Floot to copy or reference styles, pages, or logic from it.

New: AI Image Generation

• Floot can now generate images directly from text descriptions — no need to leave the editor or use a separate tool.

Need a hero image for your landing page? An illustration for a blog post? A custom icon or logo? Just describe what you want and Floot will create it. You can also pass in reference images to guide the style and composition.

• You can now preview your app on different devices directly in the editor. Switch between Desktop, Responsive Mobile, iPhone, Pixel, iPad, and iPad Landscape — complete with realistic device frames, bezels, and notch/camera cutouts.

Upgraded to Claude Opus 4.6

• Ever made something cool and your friends want to use it with their own tweaks? Or need to send a project to a client so they can make changes themselves?

You can now send projects to others! Here's how it works:

• Navigate to your project name → "Send Project"
• Send a complete copy to anyone you want
• Optionally charge credits for access

Recipients get their own editable copy to customize however they need. The database and the API key requirements will be copied over, but your own API keys will not be sent to them.

Credits now roll over!

November 25, 2025

• Your unused monthly credits will now roll over to the next month so you have more time to use them!

Notes:

• You have one month to use your rolled over credits. For example, if your billing period was Oct 25 -> Nov 25, your unused credits will roll over and you can use them until Dec 25.
• Rollover credits are consumed first, then monthly quota, then bonus credits.
• A paid plan is required to use rolled over credits.

Once your plan renews, you can see your rollover credits on your billing page.
